Privacy Policy for Paper Pro

1. Information Collection and Usage

Paper Pro is an "offline-first" desktop application. We do not operate any central servers, and your data remains entirely under your control at all times.

• Local Data Storage: All your business data—including products, invoices, purchase records, and settings—is stored locally on your device in an encrypted or secured local SQLite database (paperpro.db).
• No Personal Tracking: We do not collect analytics, track your usage patterns, or capture any personal or financial information about you or your customers for our own use.
• Payment & QR Code Generation: The application generates UPI payment QR Codes entirely locally on your machine. No financial data, transaction history, or VPA (Virtual Payment Address) information is ever transmitted to us or any third-party analytics provider.

2. Google Drive Integration

Paper Pro offers an optional Google Drive backup synchronization service. If you choose to enable this feature:

• Authentication: The app uses Google OAuth2 to authenticate. Your authentication tokens are stored locally on your machine and are securely managed. Never transmitted to us.
• App Data Folder: We request access to the specific https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope. This restricts the app to only store its database in a private folder on your Google Drive that is hidden from other applications and the user's main file list.
• Data Access: Paper Pro only accesses the backup files it explicitly creates. It cannot view, read, modify, or delete any other files or folders in your Google Drive account.
• Synchronization: Database backups are uploaded upon request or automatically when terminating the application, seamlessly ensuring data continuity without compromising privacy.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We categorically do not share, sell, or disclose any of your data to third parties. Your data only moves between your local device and your authorized, private Google Drive account.

4. Security

While the application stores data locally and uses Google's secure infrastructure for backups, the security of your hardware and operating system is your responsibility. We strongly recommend using full-disk encryption and strong passwords on any machine running Paper Pro.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
